Sometimes...Rest is Best!

There really is a reason why the doctor says to "get plenty of rest" as part of the recovery when you pay him a visit. When we are resting, our body goes into "repair and renew" mode. The way I see it is that all of our energy focuses on repair of damaged cells and regeneration activity when we are not awake expending that energy otherwise.

Listen to your body. Rest when you are told. If you are feeling laggard, unfocused, weak...Take a break, take a nap, meditate. To rest, you need not be sleeping. I find what works for me to "rest" is listening to my Christian(The Spirit)XM music station at a low volume so I can just hear the words. The words to the songs create a spiritual, relaxing experience for me.

So...that is "where I have been"....RESTING.

Go now...go take a nap!

Moving Forward

I have had so much I wanted to share in this past month but was busy working on regaining my health. I will be posting lessons learned and insights from this latest challenge.

Wow...events just keep coming my way and and I just keep moving through them. OH!!..I admit to challenges.

Most Recently...

About a month ago, I just could not walk...period. I went to St Vincent for several days and then off to The Legends Rehabilitation center. Turns out that my legs were quite rampant with blood clots. With some blood thinner medicine(I now get to give myself a shot in the belly 2x daily...woohoo) and some physical therapy, I can now get around with a walker.

FOR NOW!! My intention is to regain full strength, mobility and stability. I can do it!

As I study and research more, it will not only assist me to be healthy on the other side...I CAN HELP YOU! I will pass it on.

I am so grateful to be home with my wonderful husband, my 3 loving puppy dogs and the nature that envelopes our house (and the other 5 buildings on the grounds).

HOME SWEET HOME...Home is a great place to be.
aahhh...

Think about your "home" today. Take a moment to appreciate something that makes you feel comfy and cozy? Spending a month away from my home REALLY made me appreciate it more!!

Peace and comfort
