Speak up. Ask the angels. What do you desire to feel good? A bit of calm and peace and contentment. Whatever it is...surrounded by family? Perhaps time in solitude, reading, imagining, journaling..
Quiet time with Guardian Angels. Remember that GOD is always speaking to us...are we listening? I feel that our Angels are a guide to allow us to make a stronger connection with Spirit.
Take some time to do something this Holiday weekend. Put an idea out there. Could be a small. The important thing is how it makes you feel. Let's feel good!
My Mom suggessted that I get out of the house..go for a ride, go grab a bite to eat. And so we have created it.
I am so excited for this Sunday. I will be enjoying some great clams with Mark and Mom. This resturant (The Marina) is on a Lake. My pepere had 3 camps on this Lake. Many summers up here. Very cool.
Where could you revisit? What new place can you go? Many libraries have DVD's that will take you to another country! That is pretty awesome.
My wish for you is peace.

Terminal Brain Cancer
I have been busy! The great news is my legs got feeling somewhat normal for a while. No cane or walker for a time. I am back to the walker now but that is due to other issues.
Just to get the facts out there, the cancer in my brain is getting worse, more lesions and tumors. I have stoppoed treatments and I am in GVNA hospice program. Hospice gives the care to pass peacefully and have best quality of life until God's grace lifts me up and take me home. Stop fighting the body and nuture the soul. Much more about this program coming soon. These women are angels.
How do I feel about the fact they Doctors) said I may make it to xmas with some leeway? I am curious, anxious, excited, confused...and filled with bewilderment.
Next post on heaven and good stuff.
Peace to all of you

Ugh-Paperwork and Forms
I have always been drawn to paper. I was cutting magazine pictures and creating collages when I was a kid. Then for over 20 years, my job was processing lots of paperwork...from accounting clerk to staff accountant. Everything from DET papers to health insurance to government reports and taxes. I thrived on "forms"...not so much these days.
Now that I am in charge of my own pile of insurance bills, appointments, I have not been acting as efficiently. That stops here. My goal will be one some action everyday and have all ducks aligned in a row by the 10th. I had 3 different health insurance this year, so things became a bit more complicated. I will get all my ducks in a row one at a time. I can do it! (and so can you)
Do you have some "paperwork" or forms that you have been putting off completion? It certainly will ease your mind. Make decision that once a week or month or whatever that you will file any new receipts. Now it is easy and you will have access at your fingertips.
GREAT TIP:
take your list of medications, doctors, recent test (and results,if possible) anytime you go to a doctors appointment or the emergency room.

Great News!
GREAT NEWS!!!
WooHoo! There is a change in plans. Not in my plans because I was very confused when they said the brain cancer was growing. It just did not fit with how I was feeling, what I had been visualizing.
Last week I was told there was new cancer growing (not good). Actually, the cancer that remains (in the brain) is from the original findings. The doctor said there was quite a lot so the radiation is still doing its work(it physically ended mid-March).
The Radiation Doc and Oncologist have decided to do an MRI in a few months. I am confident at that time it will be all gone.
The evening before the test, I had some serious communication with Spirit. I am at your service...what is it You have for me to do to make it a better world? Allow me to remain here in pursuit of fulfilling my purpose here on earth.
Feeling great today. My legs and feet are not swollen and I can walk about a bit.

Cancer Testing Back...
When I began this blog, my intention was to assist others going through a similar experience. I feel it is important for you to know where I am in my recovery.
The MRI on my brain was not good. There is much cancer including the lining. The first 14 sessions of radiation really took its' toll. It is quite likely that the bloodclots in my legs which caused me to not be able to walk are from the radiation. I inject myself twice per day with blood thinning meds and I am able to get around a bit again. That's a good thing!
I see my radiolgist on Wednesday to discuss if I can handle a few more sessions of radiation to possibly get rid of some of the cancer.
Doctor Khanani (oncologist) gave me the statistics on my situation-6 mos.-1 year. Do I accept that? It is my decision. That decision will create each new day...each new moment.
Right now, I have all kinds of conflicting, confusing thoughts and feelings. I am going to get out my pen and paper. How do I really feel? What does this mean to me? What positive steps can I take?...and many more questions.
Do things that allow you to feel closer to God by strengthening your spiritual connection. Reading healing and faith scriptures in The Bible helps me...I like to watch Joyce Meyer's and listen only to Christian music.
My goal is to continue this blog with positive information, resources and other things that may assist you.

Need Help?
Believe me, I was not real comfortable having people help me with tasks that I could previously do for myself. It came to the point that the pride needed to be set aside. I decided that "it is what it is".
Do you need help? Have you searched out resources? Have you made family and friends aware of your needs? Even if they do not have the time or ability to help you personally, perhaps they know someone...or knows someone that knows someone.
Here's a suggestion on ways to get the help that you need.
(NOTE: As part of my "mind studies" I was taught that "writing causes thinking"...and it really does. Without getting too deep, writing creates a different process in the brain and will create thoughts that you may not have if they had been just fleeting thoughts.)
The first thing is to write down on a piece of paper what you perceive as your needs. Is it really a need or is it a "would be nice"? What is the reason why you feel you need assistance? This wil be helpful when you state your case for assistance request. Next step, write down anything that comes to mind as far as resources. Do not analyze or judge right now...just write it down.
If needed, a visiting nurse is a great benefit to check into with your doctor. After a month at The Legends Rehab, when I was to be discharged, I was offered services which I at first declined. I thought that it would be too much trouble taming our 3 small dogs and besides, I am fine...I don't need any help. Well, I changed my mind and I am so glad I did. My thanks to Ann-Marie and Sarah from the Gardner Visiting Nurses Association. Turns out, they love my dogs and my dogs love them. They have allowed me to feel "safer"...I have lots going on that they keep an eye on.
The American Cancer Society website is a great resource to visit and see what they have that may assist you. Check out their Road To Recovery program that will provide rides to treatments if the patient has limited transportation.
Save some time...I suggest that you talk to a social worker that is available to you either through you doctors office or the facility where you may be receiving treatment. They have access to many resources that will assist you many at low or no cost. (Thanks to Bonnie at AMH)
If you have health coverage issues, speak to a Patient Advocate at your medical facility. (Thanks to Terri Lincoln at AMH.) Terri truly is an advocate! The Legends Rehabilitation Center was an immense help by filing all I needed to get additional coverge with my medical bills.
Your family may be willing to help and all you need to do is ask. You should not assume that they know all your needs. Even though our family and friends love us and are there for us, we must remember that they have a life to be lived. Sometimes, we just have to ask for help.
Help yourself. I encountered this yesterday. I was going to wait for Mark to get home to do something. I thought about it a moment and decided that I could do it and so I did.
Only you can decide if you need help. It is then up to you to find it.

Where are you?
Have you taken time to sit down and write down "where you are"? How do you see the next moment in time? Do you see the "best case scenario" or the "worst case"?
I got kind of stuck here. I was not imagining the worst case scenario but I was not picturing the best case either. Knowing that I create what I think about, I decided those thoughts needed some changing. For instance, I have been to the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas but I did not swim with the dolphins which was on my list of awesome things I want to do "some day". Now, I see myself returning there and being with the dolphins. When we went to Hawaii we passed on a helicopter ride over the islands. Now, on my "one day" list.
If you have children in grade school...picture them graduating high school, college, getting married. Whatever works for you to be there in their future.
Keep dreaming, thinking of all the things you want to do "some day". And then start today.
Just imagine....the best case...the happiest, healthiest outcome.
